**Job Description**:
**AECOM** is seeking a full-time Site Inspector/Contract Administrator to work at one of our municipal water infrastructure construction project sites (water treatment plant, reservoir and/or pumping station) based in the Greater Toronto Area (Markham, Whitby, Mississauga).
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection work logs.
- Participate/coordinate in punch list preparation, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress.
- Coordinate the project close-out phase of projects.
- Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other project team members.
- Liaise onsite with the Client, Contractor and other authorities, including addressing resident concerns.
- Participate in construction progress meetings.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering + 2 years of experience in a field role on municipal water infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspection at municipal water infrastructure construction sites (e.g., water treatment plants, pumping stations and/or reservoirs) or demonstrated equivalency.
- Registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible within 12 months.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 6+ years of experience in a field role on municipal water infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspection at municipal water infrastructure construction sites (e.g., water treatment plants, pumping stations and/or reservoirs) with capex of $5M+.
- Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g., mobilization, shop drawing reviews, construction, start-up and commissioning, project closeout, etc.)
- Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail is an essential skill.
- Experience working around mobile heavy equipment.
- Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services.
- Proficient in common desktop packages (e.g., MS Word, Excel and Project).
