**General Description**:
The Diamond Bailey Healing Centre (DBHC) is a new facility developed and operated by the MNFC and is a response to the need within the Urban Indigenous Community for an Indigenous-led, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate facility where members of the urban Indigenous community can receive healing programming in addition to stable housing that is imbedded in Indigenous tradition and culture in all aspects of program delivery. The DBHC will provide clients with teachings and resources necessary to heal, live a balanced lifestyle - according to the principals of the medicine wheel, and to ultimately gain housing stability.

DBHC is looking for (1) Diamond Bailey Operations Coordinator who will be responsible to work with all clients to build upon their independent living skills and provide teachings and knowledge that are essential to becoming self-sufficient and maintaining a balanced way of being. The Operations Coordinator will oversee the client accommodations to ensure that clients are provided with a comfortable, culturally rich living environment. It will be the responsibility of the Operations Coordinator to perform regular inspections of client accommodations to ensure that there are no safety concerns to the clients or facility as a whole. This position will require excellent problem-solving skills, as the DBOC will be the one to handle any client complaints or requests in regard to the residence’. The OC will work individually with all clients to promote and ensure that everyone is being respectful of one another and of their close living arrangements, this will be achieved through mandatory monthly tenancy meetings with all clients.

The DBOC will provide management support through a trauma informed person-centred, anti-oppressive, decolonized, and Indigenous lens with an emphasis on harm-reduction principals. An integral part of this position is having the ability to work with a two-eyed seeing approach to managerial practices and duties, while simultaneously providing Indigenous based support services for clients with the goal of aiding them through their healing journeys and working toward social and housing stability through programming.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**_Administrative:_**
- The Diamond Bailey Operations Coordinator will be responsible for fully furnishing all residences, and maintaining a thorough inventory of furniture, bedding, décor, etc.
- Create and maintain a monthly calendar and work plan; incorporating monthly individual meetings with each client and includes the goals and objectives of the Operations Coordinator.
- Compile and maintain accurate client files according to professional and organizational service standards.
- Compile various reports for MNFC, various funders, stakeholders, and community.
- Utilize, maintain, and input client information into the MNFC Database.
- Research funding sources and prepare funding proposals for current and new funding opportunities.
- Track the DBHC program budget and maintain concise financial records of all expenditures
- Develop accurate monthly/quarterly/annual reports and ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Ensure all aspects of the Nova Scotia Tenancy Act are being met and respected, to avoid any client/organizational conflicts and/or organization or personal liability.
- Develop client files and implement an organization system; ensure files are kept confidential.

**_Client Support:_**
- Ensure that the Diamond Bailey Healing Centre’s accommodations and client coordination delivery are congruent with the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre’s mission, vision, and philosophy by representing the unique needs within the urban Indigenous community.
- Schedule and facilitate monthly meetings with all clients to address key areas such as programming, responsibilities and to provide feedback to ensure clients are getting the supports needed. This will prepare clients for dealing with landlords or property managers in the future.
- Assist clients in keeping their residence and/or bed space in a tidy and hygienic manner.
- Encourage clients to participate in the maintenance of the facility and shared accommodations.
- Maintain a workplace and living environment that meets the cultural and wholistic needs of Indigenous clients. Indigenous culture and traditional teachings should be displayed appropriately to create a welcoming environment and experience for the urban Indigenous population.
- Ensure a positive, healthy, safe, and culturally rich experience for all clients at the Diamond Bailey.
