Why is this role important?
- The Team Lead leads strategic and operational activities related to the development, enhancement, promotion, implementation and use of Specialized Care data standards and standardized assessments. They are responsible for liaising with home care, long-term care, rehabilitation, and mental health sectors, and to support jurisdictional implementation of CIHI data standards and use of the data in alignment with data advancement strategies and corporate priorities.
- What you'll do
- 1. Provides leadership and guidance to internal staff in both direct report and matrix models. Supervises, coaches, and monitors workload and performance of staff to ensure quality is maintained and services are effectively delivered. Contributes to staff's professional development by providing effective performance feedback, conducting performance management reviews, and creating learning opportunities for developing skills, knowledge and expertise.
- 2. Provides expertise in key areas of implementation and use of CIHI data standards (including standardized assessments) in home care, long-term care, rehabilitation and mental health sectors (collectively known as Specialized Care).
- 3. Provides strategic advice and expertise for updating and enhancing Specialized Care data standards in alignment with stakeholder priorities and CIHI data standards (managed through the Master Data Governance Office).
- 4. Builds relationships and supports clients and stakeholders interested in implementing or using Specialized Care data standards.
- 5. Facilitates jurisdictional support in collaboration with other Specialized Care teams, the Client Affairs Manager, and the Client Engagement and Stakeholders department. Participates in jurisdictional working groups as required.
- 6. Act as a liaison between Specialized Care branch and other areas of CIHI regarding product strategy, development, licensing, pricing, and delivery.
- 7. Maintains knowledge of current and emerging Specialized Care data standards, standardized assessments, and the use of information standards and technology to deliver health care services and manage data.
- 8. Contributes to the promotion of CIHI products and services through participation on external committees, presentations and/or attendance at conferences and other activities, as required.
- What you'll bring to the table
- Undergraduate degree in health sciences, health information, administration, social science or related field.
- Five (5) years’ experience working in a health-related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, promotion, implementation and/or use of CIHI data standards. Experience supporting the implementation of interRAI assessments is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to supervise an interdisciplinary team and build a positive work environment including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience developing relationships and facilitating communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to gather and disseminate appropriate information and solicit participation and feedback from clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in creating presentations and developing contend for clinical, analytical and/or policy audiences.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to lead and manage projects.
- Knowledge of and experience in the collection and use of data holdings, data governance, data standards, database management and data analysis.
