**Position Description**:

- Reporting to the Manager, Brand Strategy, the Lead, Digital Design and Brand Engagement will lead, coordinate and implement the design, brand evolution and management of the hospital’s brand standards and design strategy.-
- This role will play a critical part in guiding the hospital’s web transformation journey and the overall digital brand strategy and evolution in keeping with the new strategic plan, which focuses on our leadership role in helping to reshape the future of health care, to reflect 21st century needs and innovations, looking beyond ‘the patient in the hospital’ to also support ‘the person in the community’.**What you will do**:

- The main requirements and responsibilities for the Lead, Digital Design and Brand Engagement are:- Auditing, updating, and managing the hospital’s brand standards, guidelines, strategy, and design.
- Producing updated brand standards and guidelines.
- Providing comprehensive updates and management of brand guidelines across all three web
- based assets at The Ottawa Hospital:
- The Ottawa Hospital’s Intranet site - MyHospital- Coordinate and lead the digital brand adherence guidelines, particularly during the upcoming web redesign project
- working closely with the Web Transformation Project Manager and web redevelopment team (including external agency), and ensuring ongoing standards, practices and updates are managed for the updated site.
- Developing marketing and communication content collateral.
- Working cross-departmentally, with internal and external stakeholders and the hospital’s senior management team.
- Engaging in a pivotal role to guide the brand identity and design requirements for the new campus development project.**What you will bring**:
- 3-Year Community College in Graphic Arts/Graphic Design/Graphic Production/Graphic Design Digital Media. Equivalent Education/Experience or training will be considered;
- Eight (8) years of graphic design experience, including 3 years leading a brand execution;
- UX/UI, Brand and visual identity, web development/transformation and digital design experience;
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role - gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with web developer and external partners (agency);
- Proven work experience executing visual design stages from concept to final hand-off;
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software: Adobe suite - Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Photoshop;
- Ability to illustrate design ideas, process flows, and/or site maps;
- Strong understanding/familiarity of Content Management System (CMS): including but not limited to WordPress; Drupal etc.;
- Advanced proficiency in visual identity creation and management;
- Portfolio of dynamic visual design projects and web-based deliverables that put emphasize on the user experience through creative concepts that focus on simplicity and user friendliness;
- Firm understanding of accessibility and AODA compliance;
- Strong understanding of and experience with complex web redesign projects and deliverables;
- Strong communications skills and highly collaborative and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and to manage internal relationships and expectations;
- Solutions-oriented, excellent time management, strong project coordination/leading skills and able to work under tight deadlines;
- Ability to present and report to senior management team.**You will stand out with**:
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Ex: Computer science)
- Portfolio of work - digital, other;
- Interactive Media design - UX/UI Design - Web and Graphic Design Certificate - content management systems (CMS) experience with two or more content management systems ;
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc and InVision);
- Front end coding ability in HTML, JAVA, and CSS;
