**Regional Learning Leader**:
**Purpose of Position**:
**At GardaWorld Regional Learning Leaders are responsible for the oversight and delivery of GardaWorld approved training programs, ensuring that all frontline and supervisory personnel have the knowledge and skill required to be competent, confident and compliant with all contractual, provincial and federal training requirements.**:
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities** of GardaWorld Security Services Instructors include the following**:
**Training Delivery**
- Learning Leaders are responsible for ensuring availability and delivery of training to employees. This may include scheduling and oversight of themselves and other instructors, conducting classroom training sessions, leading workshops, or conducting online training, as well as providing guidance and support pre-deployment.
- Learning Leaders ensure that Regional and National training is delivered in accordance to GardaWorld standards and follow the program training syllabus.

**Program Development and Evaluation of training effectiveness**:

- Learning Leaders are responsible for supporting operations in the development and delivery of training as identified in conjunction with operations. Learning Leaders evaluate the overall effectiveness of regional GardaWorld training programs, ensuring proposed and provided training satisfies contractual and site requirements.

**Classroom Management and Administrative tasks**:

- Learning Leaders and Instructors ensure the active engagement of program participants, track attendance and training completion and issue program certificates. Learning Leaders are responsible for tracking department metrics including revenue, value creation, class fill rate and contractual compliance.

**Collaborating with other departments**:

- Regional Training leaders work closely with other departments within the organization, such as Operations, Recruitment, HR and Health & Safety, to ensure that training programs ae aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. The Regional Training Leader serves as the region's representative in the development and delivery of National training programs.

**Required Skills**:
As the leading security services provider in Canada, GardaWorld trains and deploys security personnel to work in some of the most dynamic and challenging environments. As such, GardaWorld Learning Leaders are required to have recent related industry experience, and to be experienced leaders and facilitators.

**Subject Matter Expertise**:

- Related security industry experience servicing dynamic risk environments (5-10 years progressive experience)

**Strong Communication skills**:

- Demonstrated instruction, coaching or facilitation experience, ability to communicate new and old concepts to adult learners, and to relay concepts in a relatable, memorable and engaging manner. (Minimum 200 hours recent teaching experience)

**Legal and Regulatory**
- Experience working within the criminal justice systems of law enforcement, courts, or closely allied occupations. Demonstrated experience interpreting contracts and various Federal, Provincial, Municipal legal language and facilitate in delivery.

**Adaptability**

**Employee Assessment**
- Ability to assess an employee's willingness to learn, as well as the knowledge or skills that employee has retained. They are adept at designing and administering assessments and always make sure assessments are accurate and helpful

**Enthusiasm for Learning**
- A sincere enthusiasm for learning. Demonstration of continuous personal and professional development in order to inspire and motivate others to do the same.

**Additional skills**
- Provincial Basic Security Training (or willingness to complete)
- Use of Force certification / PPCT or equivalent training
- Use of Force or PPCT instructor certification (desired)
- Tactical communication / MOAB / NVCI training (desired)
- Mental Health First Aid (desired)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in adult learning principals and course facilitation
