**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Responsibilites**:
- Champion the company's core values, ensure leadership team alignment, and create a culture of positivity, optimism, and high standards in which all staff members strive to achieve excellence in everything they do individually and as professionals.
- Lead by example by supporting and supervising a solid network of managers, ensuring succession planning within the organization and working in collaboration with the Human Resources team.
- Hold General Managers accountable for employee experience, customer experience, daily reporting, and financial expectations.
- During field visits, train and support General Managers in all standards of operational excellence.
- Develop annual business plans identifying key activities and priorities that align with company objectives.
- Take responsibility for the daily operations of the restaurant by controlling profit and loss, adherence to budget, following cash control and security procedures, inventory, labor, review of reports financial and all parameters and measurements.
- Analyze, research, and evaluate customer experience issues, market trends and competitive offerings to provide market intelligence and data to inform business strategy and priorities.
- Collaborate with other Regional and General Managers in the development and execution of operational strategies consistent with the company's business objectives.
- Set weekly, quarterly and annual performance indicators for direct reports to grow and improve the business and hold Managers accountable for successful performance and execution.
- Supervise and contribute to the creation of innovative promotional activities and measure their return on investment.
- Lead company-wide development initiatives for leaders and new talent and foster a culture of continuous learning and continuous development.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, health and safety, and WHMIS for the market.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with food safety and pest control programs.
- Ensure timely and complete execution of marketing and corporate programs.
- Create and maintain regular and ongoing communications standards for the market, in accordance with the company communications plan.
- Continually research and introduce process improvement measures. Collaborate on processes as necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- More than 5 years of experience as Operations Director and/or Regional Director; experience in multiple units is required.
- Experience in the hotel and/or restaurant industry is required.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 years or more of experience opening a restaurant.
- Able to travel to market restaurants and offices as needed.
- Regional Food Safety certifications, as required.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to analyze and influence business outcomes at an organizational level.
- Understanding of profit and loss financial statements.
- Proven experience in coaching and staff development.
- Positive, optimistic attitude and desire to always do better than yesterday.
- Effective influencing and collaboration skills.
- Sense of urgency and competition to address issues as they arise in a professional manner.
- Effective conflict management skills.
- Ability to lead workshops, presentations, and meetings.
