North York, Canada OPSEU Joint Trusteed Benefit Fund (OJTBF) Full time

OJTBF is seeking a permanent, full-time Account Manager to deliver superior service, communication and support to our participating organizations and plan members. With a proven track record of account management and client servicing within the Canadian group insurance industry, the Account Manager will ensure client satisfaction and mitigate terminations by developing solid relationships with decision-makers, benefit administrators and insurance partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary/overall contact for our participating organizations on day-to-day and escalated inquiries to ensure service deliverables are consistently met.
- Provide proactive client servicing by developing service plans, value-added material and service reports.
- Facilitate plan alternates and plan design reviews.
- Conduct regular in-person and online service calls to assigned participating organizations.
- Troubleshoot administrative, plan set up, premium and claims issues with OJTBF’s insurance partners to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage the successful implementation of new business post-sale to ensure client and plan member satisfaction.
- Oversee the timely delivery of administrative materials, booklets, drug cards, insurance certificates etc., and provide appropriate Plan Administrator training.
- Assist in the preparation, delivery, review and acceptance of OJTBF’s annual renewal.
- Represent the Service team at presentations to prospective employer groups, Benefits Committees, union local executives, Staff Representatives & Negotiators, as well as at trade shows, conferences, conventions and client functions.
- Conduct plan member information sessions for new groups and/or education sessions.
- Produce informative newsletters and communication pieces to inform and educate clients and plan members on relevant benefit issues.
- Prepare and deliver training/educational seminars to plan members and union partners about the services and benefits offered by OJTBF.

**Qualifications**:

- An Undergraduate university degree preferred (or an equivalent combination of education, such as industry relevant designations, and suitable work experience).
- Minimum Experience: 5 years or more related work experience, including demonstrated and proven skills in Group insurance account management at senior levels. Knowledge and experience working closely with the not-for-profit sector and familiarity with collective agreements, the bargaining process and unionized environments will be considered an asset.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with videoconferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

- Detailed knowledge of the group insurance industry in areas of account management, networking/relationship building at senior/decision-maker levels, claims, underwriting, rate making, renewals, plan design costings, amendments, marketing, and provider relationships.

- Ability to develop and foster meaningful business relationships.
- Possesses excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with clients.

A valid driver's license and vehicle is required for travel within Canada to meet with clients, attend trade shows, conferences and special functions.
