**JOB SUMMARY**:
The mandate of Corporate Finance is to support the delivery of City services by: providing excellent service to the public and City departments; partnering with our clients to develop innovative solutions to business needs; and ensuring compliance with all legislation, by-laws and other governance requirements for financial reporting, planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, and financial systems.

Under the direction of a manager or other supervisor in the assigned unit in Corporate Finance, you assist in the review and analysis of designated accounts and the preparation of various financial reports.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
Post-secondary Student - completion of first year college or university in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance

Minimum of 4 months but less than 8 months of related experience in a business and/or customer service environment

Accounting and/or Finance related experience is desirable

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance concepts and principles

**COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP
- Tact, patience, initiative, reliability, thoroughness, perform work accurately in an organized manner, ability to meet deadlines, willingness to learn.
- Access to reliable, efficient transportation for use in the performance of job duties is required
