**Job Summary**:
As our **Health & Safety Coordinator**, you will use your ongoing knowledge of workplace health and safety to develop a strategic approach, ensuring that it remains implemented throughout the facility.

**Core Responsibilities**: _Include but are not limited to,_
- Ensure that all hazards linked with the work site are identified, documented, and controlled effectively.
- Ensure safety objectives are achieved and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee WCB matters including facilitating return-to-work programs. File WCB accidents/incident reports into database.
- Continuously develop, review & update safety programs, policies & training as required.
- Train & Orientate Health & Safety protocols for new hires.
- Track all Health & Safety training and file when completed
- File training records & accident reports.
- Act as company liaison with Manitoba Labour, Workplace Safety & Health. Promptly respond to improvement orders as required.
- Participate and co-chair (as required) for Joint Safety & Health Committee.
- Track and complete meeting minutes.
- Coordinate safety training, safety meetings & inspections.
- Coordinate other Health and Safety training initiatives for employees.
- Conduct company tours with external parties as required.
- Review current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s).
- Observe daily routine, compare to SOP and note differences.
- Record current state of area i.e. cycle times, scrap rate, incident rate.
- Plan and execute cycle time reduction, improvement, 5S as necessary.
- Re-write SOP’s with Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s) integrated.
- Train all employees on new SOP/SWP.
- Project report out to management after completion.
- Regularly assess and grade areas based on report out state.
- Manage plant 5S program.
- Carries out additional projects and assignments as required.

**Shift**: Days: Monday to Friday (8-hour shift)

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Certificate, Diploma or post secondary education in Health & Safety or related field.
- Health & Safety and Occupational Health expertise
- Previous experience working manufacturing in a Health & Safety role.
- Skills in Workplace Safety and Safety Training
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt) _is an asset._
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Team player who can also work independently.
- Punctual and reliable attendance.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
