**Health and Safety Coordinator**

**Job Overview**:
Duha Color Services is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Coordinator. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role is pivotal in promoting safety, managing programs, and minimizing risks across our organization.

**Responsibilities**

**In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for**:

- Spearheading the organization, and administration of our Health and Safety Program in collaboration with the Health and Safety Committee.
- Providing expert recommendations and guidance based on regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance with federal/provincial occupational safety and health standards.
- Conducting thorough safety orientations for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Identifying and fulfilling safety training needs, scheduling sessions as required.
- Managing and coordinating the Safety and Health Committee, acting as a valuable resource.
- Leading investigations, analyzing accidents, and proposing corrective measures.
- Overseeing WCB claims and facilitating Return to Work programs in collaboration with management.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive safety documentation, including risk assessments and safe work procedures.
- Orchestrating emergency preparedness plans, fire drills, and evacuations.
- Monitoring company-wide compliance with safety policies and regulations.
- Championing a culture of safety awareness through training initiatives and policy implementation.

**Qualifications**
- A proactive mindset with at least 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety coordinator role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
- Proficiency in Occupational Health and Safety, Accident Investigation, and labor laws.
- Experience in crafting health and safety policies and procedures.
- Preferably, WHMIS Trainer Certification.
- Strong familiarity with federal, provincial, and municipal legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic workloads.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management information systems.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience in Human Resources is an asset.

Pay: $52,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
