Safety and Health Contract Consultant

We seek a highly skilled Safety and Health Contract Consultant to join our team and work with our clients to ensure their safety and health compliance needs are met effectively and efficiently.
**Duties**:
**Safety Program Development**:
- Design and implement comprehensive safety and health programs tailored to each client’s needs.
- Develop safety policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with safety and health legislation.
**Risk Assessment and Management**:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety and health risks.
- Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and develop action plans to address identified issues.
**Training and Education**:
- Deliver safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels.
- Develop educational materials and resources to enhance safety awareness and compliance.
**Compliance Audits and Inspections**:
- Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
**Incident Investigation**:
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and submit incident reports and analysis.
**Regulatory Guidance**:
- Guide compliance with health and safety legislation and other regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on changes in safety and health regulations and ensure clients are informed.
**Program Evaluation**:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of safety and health programs and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
- Provide ongoing support and recommendations for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in occupational safety and health, including experience with risk assessments, safety program development, and regulatory compliance.
- **Certifications**: Preference will be given to applicants with education and certifications in any of the following: National Designation of CRSP - Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Canadian Registered Safety Technician, Gold Seal Construction Safety Coordinator, Certified Health and Safety Consultant or Certificate completion of an Occupational Health and Safety program.
- **Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex safety issues and develop practical solutions.
- **Other Requirements**:
- Proven track record of working effectively with diverse industries and organizational sizes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
