Health and Safety Coordinator

About the Role
PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a Health Safety Environment Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist the District HSE Manager in coordinating and implementing HSE systems and initiatives.
- Manage and monitor district health and safety documents, including registries databases (ISN, Comply Works, etc.).
- Support project-based HSE activities as needed.
- Administer reporting of WCB/WSIB claims and coordinate medical appointments, drug and alcohol testing when applicable.
- Assist management with internal and external audits.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret reports from PCL's safety management system.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including email, coordination of meetings, filing, etc.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of administrative experience, with previous experience in the construction industry considered an asset.
- Working towards a safety designation.
- Ability to learn applicable OH&S, environmental legislation, and HSE processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to effectively problem-solve.
- Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
