**Overview**

This role demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of both technical SEO/SEM and creative content strategies, capable of driving significant organic and paid traffic growth.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify valuable search terms and trends.
- Research and implement recommendations to improve website/ad performance and ranking.
- Conduct competitor analysis and monitor competitors' SEO strategies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Set measurable goals to demonstrate improvements in marketing efforts.
- Perform technical and on-page SEO audits, including fixing broken links, correcting metadata, and optimizing URL structures.
- Write compelling and high-quality content, including page descriptions and ads, to improve search rankings and ad performance.
- Work with other departments to integrate relevant keywords into the website and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with social and content teams to optimize content to drive traffic.
- Conduct tests, analyze data and results, and identify trends to maximize ROI in SEO/SEM campaigns.
- Manage SEM campaign budgets and estimate monthly costs and expected results.
- Continually refine performance strategies based on data and trends.
- Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to improve organic search traffic.
- Provide SEO/SEM advice and support to internal departments, as needed.
- Stay up to date with search engine algorithm changes to adjust strategies accordingly.

**Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills**
- College certificate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in developing and executing successful SEO campaigns.
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
- Relevant certifications in SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Search Console, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop and execute link-building strategies.
- Must be Google Ads certified.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and other SEO tools.
- Possess an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO purposes.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Shopify, or Duda.
- Ability to create detailed reports on web analytics and site evaluations.
- Knowledge of current and upcoming SEO trends and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with competitive analysis, keyword research, and data mining tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in distributing content and building successful SEO/SEM campaigns.
- Experience in additional marketing channels (e.g., customer growth, promotions, etc.) is a plus.

**Job details**
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Salary: $60,000-$65,000 a year 
- Hours: 40 per week.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Location: Mississauga
- Proposed Resumption date: November 18, 2024
