**Job Description**:
We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as Manager of Staffing and Patient Flow. Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence, the Manager of Staffing and Patient Flow will oversee management of staffing and patient flow operations and processes. This position is pivotal in building sustainable patient flow and staffing models using continuous quality improvement frameworks and methodologies to ensure efficient staffing and patient flow across the organization to support patient care. The successful individual will be an experienced leader who will work closely and collaboratively with all levels of management, staff, unions and external partners to support and optimize patient flow, staffing operations and achieve targeted outcomes. CMH is currently on an exciting digital transformation journey, this position will be responsible for supporting the transition to a new state-of the-art workforce planning system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage hospital staffing operations, including oversight of hospital staffing resources
- Optimize patient flow processes to enhance efficiency, reduce wait-times and improve patient experience, including oversight of hospital flow resources
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address staffing needs and patient care requirements
- Analyze data and support decision making and strategic planning related to staffing and patient flow
- Develop strong understanding of employment legislation and collective agreement language in order to ensure compliance
- Foster a positive work environment that supports staff development and joy in work.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Health Administration, Business, Nursing) is required
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare management with a focus on staffing and patient flow operations
- Proven leadership skills managing teams and projects
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Advanced training in Patient Flow, Health Care Improvement, Project Management, and Change Management (an asset).
- Experience leading large-scale change initiatives with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to meet aggressive timelines.
- Ability to leverage data to inform decision-making and innovative practices.
- Strong understanding of hospital flow metrics
- Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset
