Kirk & Co. is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated individual to join our Vancouver-based team as a Manager, Communications and Engagement.

Reporting to a senior member of the Kirk & Co. team, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of strategic communications, consultation and engagement programs for Kirk & Co. clients across a variety of sectors.

**Key responsibilities**
- Developing and implementing strategic communications, consultation and engagement plans and programs.
- Establishing and maintaining constructive and effective working relationships with client staff and multi-disciplinary consultants.
- Providing day-to-day project management for multiple clients, including managing timelines and budgets.
- Ongoing learning and awareness of best practices in communications and engagement.
- Providing strategic communications advice to clients, including issues management and media relations.
- Developing written materials including, but not limited to, discussion guides, feedback forms, display boards, digital content, presentations, fact sheets, news releases, briefing notes, key messages and questions and answers.
- Managing consultation and engagement feedback analysis and reporting.
- Providing staffing and support for consultation and engagement meetings, as required.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years of similar experience in strategic communications or consultation and engagement

- Superior critical thinking skills
- Strong writing skills, demonstrated across multiple platforms
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines for multiple clients
- Ability to be a self-starter and anticipate client requests
- Comfort assigning and managing tasks with junior team members
- Experience working directly with the public and stakeholders
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Professional, collaborative and positive working style
- Proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience in Indigenous relations, digital communications and/or media relations is an asset

**Hours and Compensation**

The position would be full-time (Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day) with a flexible work structure including time working out of the Kirk & Co. office in downtown Vancouver. Some evening and weekend work may be required from time-to-time.
