Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) is the research institute of London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. As one of Canada’s top ten research institutes, we are committed to furthering scientific knowledge to advance health care around the world.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Assist CHRI researchers with the identification of funding sources relevant to their research objectives
- Assist CHRI researchers to identify potential partners with the expertise needed to build collaborative research teams
- Provide expertise regarding granting agency and institutional research policies
- Facilitate the pre-submission expert review process for Tri-council grants and other funding opportunities so CHRI researchers can benefit from the early feedback
- Compile analyses, documents and reports on research activities specifically related to funding success
- Support the writing of the Children’s Health Foundation’s annual report from the CHRI

**Secondary responsibilities**:

- Assist in preparation of content for the CHRI website and other publicly facing communications and documents
- Support investigators’ knowledge mobilization and implementation activities and events (e.g. conferences)

**Rate of Pay**:To commensurate with experience

**Hours of work**: 37.5 hours per week

**Duration**: One year contract

**Qualifications**:

- PhD in a fundamental, translational, or clinical science discipline preferred, but relevant experience at Masters degree level may be considered
- Experience working with institutional research office(s) and research support programs
- Knowledge of CIHR, SSHRC, NSERC, CFI, CRC, and other funding program requirements
- Ability to interpret university and agency research policies, procedures, and regulations so as to provide informed advice to applicants
- Superior written and oral communication skills including high-level command of grammar and spelling in English
- Strong organizational, work planning and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
