Le responsable régional de la sécurité, AN, fait partie du Centre d'excellence (CE) mondial en matière de sécurité d'Alcoa et est chargé d'identifier, de développer et de mettre en œuvre des stratégies de sécurité mondiales ainsi que des initiatives de sécurité basées sur les meilleures pratiques pour la région de l'Amérique du Nord. La principale fonction de ce rôle est de diriger les efforts de la société visant à éliminer les décès et les blessures graves et à réduire les autres incidents de sécurité, tout en veillant à ce que toutes les usines en Amérique du Nord (AN) soient conformes à la loi et en maintenant une amélioration continue dans l'ensemble des opérations.
Ce poste joue un rôle important en matière de gouvernance et d'influence au sein du CE de la région tout en s'associant à l'équipe dirigeante régionale pour l'AN et en fournissant un soutien clé à celle-ci, au sein de laquelle le titulaire de ce poste est un membre et un décideur clé.
Le rôle du directeur régional de la sécurité vise à aider à la coordination, à l'exécution et à la mise en œuvre de divers programmes de sécurité sur tous les sites opérationnels et sur certains sites restreints aux États-Unis et au Canada. Ce poste offre aux usines une voie claire pour transmettre les problèmes aux échelons supérieurs, demander et recevoir de l'aide, et obtenir un soutien, des conseils et une aide pratiques au jour le jour pour améliorer leurs performances en matière de sécurité.
The Regional Safety Manager, NA is part of the Alcoa Global Safety Center of Excellence (CoE) and is responsible identifying, developing, and implementing global safety strategies as well as best practice safety initiatives for the North America Region. This main function of this role is to spearhead the Company’s efforts to eliminate fatalities/serious injuries and to decrease other safety incidents while ensuring all NA Plants are within legal compliance and maintaining continuous improvement across the operations.
This position is an important governance and influencing role for the CoE in the region and partners with and provides key support to the North America (NA) Regional Lead Team in which this role is a key member and decision maker.
The role of the Regional Safety Manager is aimed at assisting with the coordination, execution, and delivery of various safety programs at all operating and some curtailed locations in the US and Canada. This position provides plants a clear path to escalate issues, request and receive assistance, and get hands-on, day to day support, guidance, and help in improving their safety performance.
Responsabilités

- Responsable de s'assurer que toutes les usines canadiennes respectent les lois, les règlements et la conformité du Centre canadien d'hygiène et de sécurité au travail (CCHST).
- Responsable de s'assurer que toutes les usines américaines respectent les lois, réglementations et conformité de l'Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA).
- Responsable de s'assurer que toutes les usines d'Amérique du Nord respectent les lois, réglementations et conformité de la Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
- Identifier, développer et diriger des initiatives et des activités d'amélioration de la sécurité au niveau de l'entreprise et de la région. Fournir des modèles, des outils et des exemples, et aider les différents sites à mettre en œuvre les multiples programmes de sécurité de l'entreprise en donnant des conseils pratiques, des instructions étape par étape, des priorités et en clarifiant les exigences.
- Conseiller, encadrer et stimuler le VPR, les directeurs des opérations et les responsables de la sécurité des sites afin d'améliorer leur leadership en matière de sécurité.
