**Who are we?**
La Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ/Ilagiisaq) is owned by its fourteen member co-ops in the Inuit communities of Nunavik. FCNQ was established in 1967 to provide the rapidly growing cooperative movement with more effective powers and services to help attain their vision “Atautsikut” Together—working to develop as a people, leaving none behind.

You will have to play an important role in the northern supply chain for our 14 cooperatives located in Nunavik. You will help support day-to-day operations and contribute to the development of a united team where each of us works in a spirit of collaboration and mutual support with an open and cohesive approach, rallying around decisions aimed at achieving our common objectives and initiatives. Every day, our employees make a difference by keeping the northern supply chain running smoothly with essential goods.
**Responsibilities**:
Under the direct authority of the Manager, Distribution - Shipping, the incumbent will contribute to achieving the overall mission of the FCNQ by assuming responsibility for the management of distribution operations. The incumbent of this position plays a key role in terms of services to cooperatives, operational performance, and the financial objectives of the FCNQ.
- Contribute to the quality service offered to member cooperatives until the end of the supply chain;
- Supervise the floor operations of the distribution service in order to optimize the logistics processes and the performance of the department;
- Provide support in personnel management, particularly in terms of skills development, absence management, and individual performance management;
- Participate in workforce planning and supervise employees assigned to distribution in the warehouse;
- Participate in the process of selecting, hiring and training employees;
- Develop and implement good integration and training practices for new employees;
- Participate in the OHS committee and in the implementation & monitoring of occupational health and safety prevention measures;
- Manage operations related to hazardous products, including WHMIS training of employees;
- Ensure that the laws relating to transport and shipments are respected;
- Contribute to process mapping, improving efficiency and proposing effective methods for managing intra and inter-departmental workflows;
- Actively participate in the implementation of new initiatives (Dynamics 365, expansion, warehouse relocation, etc.)
- Define and monitor performance indicators for the operations (productivity and efficiency), set improvement objectives, and promote best practices in management and inventory;
- Ensure sound management of payment terms;
- Follow-up with team leaders for the proper closure of shipments;
- Occasionally assist in making appointments for receiving orders;
- Any other related tasks.
**Requirements**:
- University degree in supply chain management or another discipline relevant to the role, or any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent;
- Successful completion a professional program in supply chain management, an asset;
- Experience of 8-10 years in supply management;
- Expertise in an environment where modern operations management is present, an asset (LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.);
- Spirit of operational excellence and continuous improvement;
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills;
- Experience in process improvement;
- Solid experience in team management;
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and presentation skills;
- Great autonomy and ability to manage urgencies;
- Bilingual (English and French), both oral and written.

**Note**:
- Normal working hours are generally Monday to Friday, 35 to 40 hours per week. However, the work schedule may vary and be irregular. The annual salary includes all the hours that the incumbent may be required to work.
