Role Overview

Eclipse Automation is seeking a proven Project Control Lead for our Nuclear Division in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the General Manager - Nuclear, the Project Control Lead - Nuclear, will be responsible for providing project control leadership to ongoing projects and supporting the company’s estimating and manufacturing teams.

In this highly visible and critical role, the incumbent will ensure that the company’s project control system is properly implemented, maintained, and utilized, in-addition to working with the management team and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture on time and on budget.

The Project Control Lead job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Technical
- Responsible for implementing a system of schedule and cost tracking at the department level
- Participate in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company’s project cost and control systems.
- Participate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline.
- Assist the project team in converting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget), in the company’s work management system.
- Set up project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit)
- Review the project contract and ensure that all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout.
- Monitor the project performance and ensure that all the project control system is properly implemented.
- Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.)
- Train the project team on how to implement the change management procedures.
- Responsible to maintain a change management system in compliance with contract conditions and Eclipse’s procedures; monitor and enforce the change management system for assigned projects.
- Responsible to communicate, train and generally ensure full understanding by project staff of project controls processes and their applicable responsibilities.
- Review and analyze the project scheduling and cost reports and suggest corrective actions to maintain the project within the anticipated cost and schedule.
- Prepare and update project cash flows.

Project Execution
- Identify project risks and implementation of risk management in the Front End of the Business.
- Escalate issues to Global Director of Project Controls as early as possible when risks, milestones or budget issues are expected to create operational or commercial Issues.
- Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 10% of time, however, may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs

Leadership
- Promote positive relations between departments and with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors
- Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations which support continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend Eclipse Database improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the company
- Continuously resource new innovative solutions for corporate competitiveness

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering / Robotics Automation Technology, Business, or equivalent experience
- Formal project management training through PMI or equivalent, PMP is an asset.
