**Major Duties**:
The Manager, Project Controls Nuclear is responsible to provide leadership and strategic scheduling, cost management, and cost/schedule integration in support of managing projects from proposal development to closeout.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Supervise a team providing reporting, data management, output distribution, process monitoring and job scheduling.
- Support project managers with project controls activities on assigned projects, this includes but is not limited to forecasting, schedule management, managing cost and schedule changes, supporting gate strategies, preparation, and approval.
- Work closely with Applications Engineering and Sales to prepare quote schedules as required. Review tasks and durations as well as resource requirements by department and identify any conflict or concerns to meet schedule due to constraints - ie specific department resources availability, long lead purchase deliveries and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain overall loading by department for current projects based on forecast, CORs and Apps quotations which are identified as having a 90% probability of becoming firm orders. Input to ATS Global Capacity Planning by providing weekly capacity for the Division.
- Participate in and/or run the weekly Production Meeting & Loading Meeting, preparing the discussion document, outlining issues and constraints and promise dates with enough detailed information to allow the Project Manager to communicate with the Customer.
- Responsible for the planning, preparing and integration of work activities necessary for operations to function in a logical process that will optimize site capabilities and achieve the highest productivity in a safe and functional environment.
- Ensure that training is provided to all departmental employees are per established in the training matrix.
- Support the setup of JDE work order database for new projects and activation of work orders.
- Support the project manager and assigned project team members to develop a project execution plan during the project kick off meeting(s).
- Maintain close contact with Supply Chain and PPL to ensure that required materials are being delivered as agreed and planned during PEP Meeting.
- Advocate and foster a team environment within the PM department and throughout the division working closely with all departments.
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
- Ensure that the requirements of the health, safety and environment management system are implemented and maintained.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- A Materials Management Diploma or equivalent with a practical working knowledge of MRP, shop floor control or manufacturing control systems.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of five years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.
- Experience with computerized database systems, Microsoft Excel and Primavera is required.
- An understanding of common business practices relating to materials management, production control, logistics and procurement is essential.
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations to reach appropriate conclusions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction, including providing advice and influencing personnel to make good decisions.
