_**Three Farmers Foods Inc. is looking for a dynamic, talented, and diligent professional to join our team as Controller.**_
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller is a pivotal position within the company, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, driving insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role combines financial expertise with analytical acumen to guide our financial operations, optimize performance, and contribute to the company's growth trajectory. This role will require a high degree of analysis to be able to support the financial and production KPIs of the company. The Controller will be working with the supply chain, production, sales, and marketing teams to create efficient and effective processes for the company.

- University degree in Business/Accounting, with CPA designation, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressing accounting experience preferably in Saskatchewan or Western Canada.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial, and local requirements regarding financial records, pension, profit-sharing, and the like is essential.
- Experience overseeing audits performed by external audit firms.
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and some strategic planning experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Conduct business ethically and with integrity.
- Support the vision and mission of the Company and be a model of the core values in all business contexts.
- Perform the Controller duties in a faithful, industrious manner.
- Safeguard confidential information and proprietary aspects of the business.

**Key Qualifications and Experience**:
- Financial Analysis: Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, with advanced Excel skills.
- Budgeting and Planning: Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems for financial management.
- Strategic Insight: Ability to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills for team management and collaboration.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Financial Reporting: Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Budget Management: Previous involvement in budget creation and management.
- Performance Analysis: Track record of analyzing financial performance and KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Government Grants: Familiarity with government grant programs (e.g., IRAP, SRED) a plus.
**Positional Responsibilities**:
Core Financial Operations and Reporting
- GL Account reconciliations, and preparation of Journal entries required as a result of the reconciliation for the bookkeeper.
- Managing the monthly financial reporting tool, analyzing actual performance versus budget and forecast.
- Produce the monthly reporting package and weekly flash report.
- Update and maintain the sales analysis model for sales analysis by customer, SKU, sales rep, etc.
- Review and enhancement of internal controls.
Financial Analysis and Planning
- KPI updates and reporting.
- Support the annual planning process - working with all departments to plan sales, production, operating expenses, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Measure and report sales KPIs - sales performance, forecasting, and budget accuracy.
- Manage MCB and EDLP accruals and actualizations.
- Support the Director of Finance in preparing profit and loss reports for the business categories, reviewing revenues and costs and allocations of costs for accuracy, and investigating any unusual results.
- Develop and keep current a profitability tool for assessing sales and business expansion opportunities for new accounts, SKUs, or one-off deals.
