**About the Role**
Reporting to the Manager, Foundry Work & Education Program, the Services Coordinator is a key connection between Foundry Central Office (FCO) and Foundry Centres across BC. You’ll provide critical project and engagement support, ensuring Individual Placement & Support Specialists and Leads are supported in delivering employment and education services tailored to youth needs. As the Services Coordinator, you'll:
- Coordinate program activities and provide project and navigation support.
- Act as a liaison between Foundry Central Office and Centres, fostering strong connections.
- Facilitate engagement across departments and partners to prioritize education and employment service objectives.
- Support service delivery, quality improvement, capacity building, training, and strategic planning initiatives.
**What You Bring**
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strength in using office software tools, including presentation tools, database software, and document creation and management tools.
- A commitment to empowering youth and ensuring equitable access to services.
- Experience in employment & education services, or youth-focused programs is an asset.
What You Bring:
**Education, Training and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, Public Policy or related field. Master’s Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of recent, related experience in project management, community capacity-building and facilitating and managing consultation and engagement processes with a wide range of community, knowledgeholder, and rightsholder groups.
- Strong understanding of substance use, addiction, and recovery-related issues - including acceptance of harm reduction and abstinence-oriented approaches.
- Knowledge and/or experience working in public health, community development, substance use and addiction, and health services.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities. Understanding of the direct, intergenerational, socio-economic, and health impacts of colonialism on Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including relationship-building, negotiation, tactful and diplomatic communication skills, conflict management, and consensus-building.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision required and in collaboration within a group and across groups.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to anticipate obstacles, use logic to make conclusions and develop an appropriate course of action. Ability to respond to problems with tact and sensitivity while respecting confidentiality as required.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative. Generates ideas for improvement, suggests innovations, takes advantage of opportunities, and is self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects, resolve problems in a timely manner, and meet deadlines. Proclivity for planning and organizing tasks efficiently to achieve objectives, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment involving policy makers, government officials, and communities affected by substance use. Ability to travel provincially and nationally, if necessary.
