Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Partnerships, Foundry, the Knowledge Exchange and Mobilization Lead, Foundry is responsible for leading the knowledge exchange and mobilization (KEMb) program at Foundry - a provincial initiative with the goal of providing youth and young adults with enhanced access to integrated services. Provides leadership and expertise in the development, project management and implementation of knowledge mobilization strategies and activities that support the meaningful use of evidence and expertise to align research, policy and practice in order to improve health and social outcomes for youth and young adults accessing integrated youth services. Ensures that specific KEMb projects and initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, objectives and priorities. Leads the identification of knowledge needs and the delivery and implementation of evidence-based and wise practices for IYS for the Foundry network, FCO and provincial, national and international audiences including policy makers, planners, clinicians, peer support workers, youth and families, etc.

In addition, the Lead engages in the development of evidence-informed knowledge products that can be used and delivered through a variety of mediums (e.g., paper-based, multimedia) and communication channels such as policies and procedures, education and training programs, online instructional services that support the delivery of integrated care for youth and young adults.

Qualifications / Skills and Education:
Education, Training and Experience

Master’s degree in health sciences, social sciences, health research, communications, policy or related field plus five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent, related experience including knowledge exchange and mobilization, leadership and project management, and facilitating collaboration with a wide range of stakeholder groups or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of knowledge exchange and mobilization approaches (e.g., networking, product development, engagement activities, dissemination, co-production, evaluation, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to design, organize, facilitate and evaluate knowledge sharing events such as stakeholder meetings, webinars, community forums and other engagement activities.
- Demonstrated success in knowledge mobilization project delivery and execution of project management methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. Expertise in plain language writing is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to ensure a working environment that supports effective service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and dispute-resolution skills to effectively deal with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address complex and diverse systems, which could have a significant impact on youth.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team to organize and prioritize workload in a complex environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and the PHC’s signatory to the Declaration of Cultural Safety and Humility.
- Ability to travel for meetings as necessary.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides leadership and expertise in the development, project management and implementation of knowledge mobilization strategies and activities that support the meaningful use of evidence and expertise to align research, policy and practice in order to improve health and social outcomes for youth and young adults.

2. Leads the development and implementation a knowledge exchange and mobilization program to support the delivery and implementation of evidence-based and wise practices for IYS for the Foundry network and provincial, national and international audiences including policy makers, planners, clinicians, peer support workers, youth and families, etc.

3. Reviews existing and new processes with relevant external organizations and researchers’ best practices, trends and innovations that may influence practices and models and provides evidence informed recommendations, including innovative and creative approaches to the program.
