Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing Foundry’s tech strategy, communicating Foundry’s tech vision and providing leadership over related projects. You’ll ensure delivery of high-quality tech products by engaging with users & stakeholders to explore needs and determine priorities. You’ll work closely with design teams, engineers & vendors on design & development; oversee product management, implementation, training & support plans. You’ll integrate data analysis & research in design and decision-making. You’ll manage Foundry’s tech budget and provide direction & mentorship to the team you lead. You’ll forecast resource & budget requirements to ensure key strategic organizational objectives are met. You will represent Foundry on related committees at local, provincial, and national levels. You have a focus on continual learning and improvement and a commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

**Summary**

Reporting to the Executive Director, Foundry, the Leader, Product Strategy & Innovation is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in defining and executing the technology product strategy, product development, management and delivery for Foundry - an initiative with the goal of providing young people with enhanced access to integrated services, thereby easing transition points for youth and their families. Defines the vision for Foundry products and provides oversight over related projects throughout the products’ lifecycle. Ensures the delivery of high quality technical products by working across cross-functional areas and engaging users and stakeholders to explore needs and determine priorities. Monitors feedback; works closely with design teams, engineers and vendors on product design and development; oversees product roll out and product support functions and adjusts plans, as needed, to meet user needs within the budgetary framework. Integrates data analysis and research in design process and decision-making. Leads research and implementation of innovative and leading technologies. Maintains effective communication channels with users and Foundry’s diverse stakeholders including Foundry leadership and staff. Provides leadership, direction, coaching and mentorship to own team. Represents Foundry on related committees, workgroups at a local, provincial and national level.

**Duties**
- Working with the Foundry Leadership Team, leads the organization’s technological strategy including defining the vision for Foundry’s products and managing the product roadmap based on the priorities of product users, internal and external stakeholders, and in alignment with Foundry’s strategic goals and priorities and those of our stakeholders.
- Leads the planning, development, testing and implementation of products throughout the product lifecycle, including coordinating and monitoring product interdependencies and managing risks and issues.
- Ensures change management activities directed at user adoption of new products and processes are integrated into the plan and closely monitored as a key success metric of the project.
- Leads cross-functional project teams, manages work plans, ensures budgets are not exceeded and timelines are met and coordinates with other functional teams.
- Act as a liaison with product design and development team to ensure processes and designs are compatible and scalable, to ensure user needs are met. Presents creative and innovative ideas for product development and features.
