**POSITION TITLE**:Manager - Sales and Business Development
**BACKGROUND**:
The WSN Group is comprised of several different businesses; engaged in manufacturing, commercial truck dealerships (3), and other related activity. Although we have been in business since 1987, we are a dynamic and highly motivated Group with a solid growth trajectory.
This position falls within Western Star Trucks (North) Ltd. A full-service heavy-duty truck dealership, offering new truck sales, parts, service, and body shop work. Our dealership network consists of 3 locations in Northern Alberta. Our Acheson location is the largest stand-alone Western Star Dealership in North America.

**KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS**:
Develop and coordinate plans to increase market share; mainly commercial trucks but integrated with other revenue streams as well. Work with the Management Team to coordinate sales and marketing initiatives across several product lines. Includes the development of segmentation and target marketing plans
Manage key financial metrics such as - sales revenue, margin growth & profitability. Provide a sustainable framework for managing new and used inventory levels. Establish and track Key Performance Indicator’s for Truck Sales and related product lines
Manage and direct an experienced team of Territory Managers and other direct reports. Ensure all aspects of deal execution are carried out: price risk, manage deal strategy and approvals, and participate in the preparation and presentation of all large customer deals.
Working with the existing management team, plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes (sales & marketing). Innovation is a central feature of our drive to become the Best.
Fostering strong relationships with both internal and external business partners. Engage directly with the larger accounts in the region to promote full product support offerings.
Develop, coordinate, and monitor department budgets. Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department.
Market research is an important responsibility for the Group. Reviewing industry data and sales activity to improve understanding of the marketplace. Create sales strategies that set us apart from the competition. A focus on digital marketing and coordination is a key component.
Conduct regular sales meetings with the Territory Managers. Analyze and implement proper coverage for the Area of Responsibility. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
**QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
Demonstrates the ability to lead and develop the sales team, in achieving its sales targets and ultimately be accountable for the profitability of the Area of Responsibility.
Ability to build strong customer relationships, maintain relationships with key customers at all levels including executive-level managers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience/ability to train and motivate a team to pursue and grow the business. Highly organized with the ability to work well under time pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong collaboration and relationship building skills to drive results through motivating and influencing. A personal drive for continuous learning.
Work within a highly collaborative team environment with a strong client service orientation.
**PREREQUISITES**:
- Post-Secondary Education and/or degree
- Proven track record in Leadership, business development, and Team building
- Experience creating and delivering sales initiatives and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills in all situations - collaborations skills essential
- Experience with process management, budgets, and sales presentations
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management development, reporting, and management
