**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Overland West Freight Lines is looking for a professional **Sales Executive** to represent our company and interests in the Northern Territories, including north of Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, Hay River, Yellowknife, and Whitehorse. Prospecting, qualifying, and selling to new and existing customers. In this role you will be travelling on a regular basis (30-50% of the time). Ideally, you will have relevant industry experience, be self-motivated, and committed to developing relationships with customers across a broad base industry.
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities_
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media, and evaluate customer needs
- Set up meetings with potential client and listen to their needs to show how our network will meet their service requirements
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Create frequent reviews and service reports with customers
- Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results, including Operations, Finance, and Customer Service
- Develop and foster long lasting business relationships with all key customers, in order to grow revenues
- Gather and monitor new and trending information in the industry
- Resolve customer issues and problems by investigating the problem, creating solutions, and communicating this with both management and customers
- Minimum Qualification Requirements_
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role, minimum 2 years experience
- 3-5 years of sales experience in LTL and/or Transportation
- Post secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques to close deals quickly
- Fast learner and passion for sales
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Desired Competencies: _
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to close the sale; verbal and written skills must be exceptional
- Confident during presentation and negotiation while displaying accurate product knowledge
- Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty
- Ability to multi-task and execute fast-paced solutions in a quick and accurate manner
- Highly organized and able to prioritize volumes of work in a deadline-driven work environment
- Able to exercise good judgment and be a professional representative of the company
