**About the role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy to create and execute fundraising campaigns, including online giving, special events.
- Conduct prospect research to identify potential major donors and develop personalized cultivation plans.
- Support the production of fundraising materials, including grant proposals, donor appeals, and impact reports.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of donor interactions and contributions.
- Perform some data analytics activities that can inform future campaigns and engagement strategies
- Coordinate and facilitate innovative donor engagement strategies that amplify all aspects of YWCA Canada’s work
- Collaborate with the Communications Team when activating appeals and donor recognition.
- Support National Signature Storytelling Event, working closely with other national coordinator.
- Support the National Table for Fundraising Feminists by coordinating meetings and helping to action requests from the YWCA members.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in philanthropy and fundraising, seeking opportunities to enhance the organization's fundraising efforts.
- In the first few months, support the team with the implementation of CRM Dynamics and can provide advice on best practices. This is a new platform for the organization, so we are looking to build it right from the start.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's/College degree/diploma in nonprofit management, International Development, fundraising, communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or philanthropy, with a proven track record of successfully securing donations and meeting fundraising goals.
- Proven experience conducting donor data analysis.
- Strong understanding of philanthropic principles and best practices, with knowledge of major gift fundraising strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in donor management software, CRM Dynamics and Microsoft Office suite.
- Comfortable working remotely and in-person when needed.
- Commitment to the mission and values of YWCA Canada and a passion for advancing women's rights and gender equity.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
