Job Title: Special Assistant, Philanthropy

CNIB Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Assistant, Philanthropy to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective administration of donor information in our database.
  • Establish and coordinate administrative policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and coordinate the production and submission of summary briefs and reports.
  • Support the delivery of CNIB's annual fundraising activities in support of the CNIB Lake Joe camp in Muskoka, Ontario.
  • Monitor and support moves management activities.
  • Coordinate team functions, including material ordering, logistics, equipment management, and supply inventory.
  • Maintain high-quality stewardship practices for active donors, including reporting and record-keeping.
  • Manage special projects and events as required.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all communications consistent with CNIB's brand.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in philanthropy and conduct research.
  • Meet with individuals, special interest groups, and others to discuss issues and assess and recommend various courses of action.
  • Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations and provide customer service.
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.

Requirements:

  • Computer and technology knowledge, including SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Database management skills.
  • Business administration and management experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
