**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-Time
**Schedule**: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 Hours Per Week, Saturdays Mandatory
We are looking for a service-oriented individual to work as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant and Inside Sales. This job offers flexibility, the opportunity to meet new people, and technical experience in a customer-led market.
The Fireplace Center and Patio Shop began in 1952 and has been serving the people of Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, and Western Quebec for more than 70 years We pride ourselves on our high level of client satisfaction and employee retention. **Key Responsibilities Include**:
- Greeting and assisting clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering phone calls, taking messages, and redirecting calls as necessary
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Assisting clients with inquiries, product information, and small-sales transactions in person and over the phone
- Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system (Evosus)
- Creating and printing price tags for merchandise and promotional material such as signs, banners, and flyers for promotions in accordance with guidelines
- Ensuring shelves are adequately stocked with merchandise to meet customer demand
- Responsible for opening and closing the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Assisting with ensuring a clean and organized retail environment and personal workspace to uphold professionalism, safety, and positive client experiences.
- Assisting with other duties such as merchandising, inventory management, and store cleanliness as needed
- Other administrative/secretarial duties as required
**Role Requirements Include**:
- Bilingual preferred
- Previous experience in receptionist duties, administrative support, and inside sales preferred
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Teams to effectively communicate and collaborate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, for creating documents and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Honest, personable, punctual, reliable, & presentable
- Hard-working team player
- Required Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm, with 1 weekday and Sundays off
