**ABOUT LIQUOR AND CANNABIS DIVISION**
The Liquor branch supports progressive developments in the industry while building strong relationships with liquor stakeholders and collecting revenue for the General Revenue Fund. It is responsible for managing the liquor supply chain in Alberta as well as providing Liquor Program Services, External Warehouse Services and Liquor Planning & Reporting Services. The Cannabis branch collaborates with many internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure a balance between consumer demand, social responsibility, product selection and economic benefit for the province. They also oversee the operations of retailer relations and the commercial cannabis strategy.

**JOB SUMMARY***

Are you a highly skilled administrative assistant looking for a growth opportunity? Do you have an interest in the liquor and cannabis industry and want to learn more? If so, you should apply The Liquor and Cannabis Division is looking for a driven and highly skilled administrative professional to take on this permanent role.

Reporting to the Vice President, Liquor and Cannabis, you will provide executive administrative support to the Vice President as well as prioritize and provide administrative and clerical support to other areas of the Division. Some of the responsibilities include: making conference, travel and accommodation arrangements, taking meeting minutes, preparing correspondence, administrating a SharePoint site and planning divisional events. You will also be required to oversee most of the records management and AR tracking within the Division. As well, tis position works closely with Liquor Planning and Reporting staff to support the Small Manufacturer program.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong conceptual and problem solving abilities. Strong attention to detail is required, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills. Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely is a necessity. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES***
- Completion of Grade 12
- 3 years progressively responsible related senior level administrative experience
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Office Administration would be considered an asset
- Public Sector administrative experience would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of AGLC policies, procedures and handbooks would be considered an asset
