The Biologics Manufacturing Center ( BMC ) Inc. is a new biomanufacturing facility created in response to the pandemic. We are looking for a **Team Leader, Production **for the media, buffer and preparation (MBP) team. The person will support the supervisor and the team in the development, implementation, coordination and execution of media and buffer preparation, as well as sterilization operations.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor for the MBP team, the Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Perform media preparation, washing and sterilization activities.
- Work with supervisor to plan and allocate resources for daily MBP activities, such as coordinating work hours and pauses.
- Work closely with the production scheduler.
- Train and develop production technologists by advising them and ensure that they receive adequate training to carry out their duties.
- Assist the Production Supervisor in the definition and optimization of the production schedule, as well as in the prioritization, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Interact with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to resolve production, supply and equipment issues.
- Document deviation issues and assist with investigations as required.
- Participate in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to and promote established health and safety guidelines, processes and procedures.
- Participate in the identification and recording of potential health and safety hazards related to duties performed, and report health and safety issues.
- Maintain technical logs, production records and inventories.

- You have a college or university degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or chemical engineering.
- You have at least 3 years' experience in a production position in a GMP environment.
- You are recognized as a resource by your colleagues because of your knowledge of media preparation, washing and sterilization processes.
- You are comfortable with computers, especially search engines.
- You are able to express yourself in French, or are committed to taking French courses.
- You live in the province of Quebec or are planning to move there.
