**Job Description**:
Under the supervision of the department manager, the team leader will determine and plan the work, training, and objectives of his team members. He will also ensure that the daily objectives of the department are respected.
Role and responsibilities
Prepare workstations by moving pallets using hand pallet jigger.
- Performs certain handling tasks.
- Integrates new employees by showing them the tasks to be performed.
- Train employees on certain tasks they are familiar with.
- Performs quality inspections.
- Mobilizes troops.
- Conducts daily meetings with team members.
- Distributes and ensures completion of work orders.
- Supports the operations of production departments/teams to ensure that quantitative and qualitative measures included in the operational plan are achieved.
- Carries out the tasks of production employees when short-staffed.
- Ensures that good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures are followed at all times, and that all products consistently meet specifications.
- All other related duties.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge and understanding of the personnel management system.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent decision-making skills in emergency situations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated and visible leadership in a variety of situations.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Advanced spoken and written bilingualism (French - English).
- Be able to lift 50lbs approximately 50 times a day
