Citizen Design Build Inc. is using construction as a mechanism for transformational
change. The vast majority of our work is with First Nations communities working in
the area of truth and reconciliation and how it pertains to construction and
community development projects. We are looking for a new member to join our
team to provide leadership to our office in Victoria.
**About us**
We are a dedicated team of apprentices, carpenters, site managers, project
managers, and designers who collectively strive towards our core values of CARE,
CULTURE, QUALITY, and CAUSE. Our approach requires special respect, patience
and attention to the main task at hand
- developing and inspiring people.
- Oversee and coach our existing administrative staff (2 people) with responsibilities in: administration, human resources, invoicing, ordering, data collection/filing, maintaining/cleaning office space, scheduling, social media, etc.
- Provide logístical support to our brand and company communication strategy as a whole
- website, vehicles, signage, social media, Print of various kinds, etc.
- Provide logístical support for Documentaries/Narratives of Indigenous projects.
- Manage our 5th street office building and tenants
- Participate in leadership meetings and vision casting for the future of the company
- Leadership in the continued design and operation of our company meetings to ensure their health and value.
- Share in the responsibility of our organizational health and vitality
- Follow Citizen Design Build safety policy as required by Worksafe BC
- Other leading type stuff.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- 5+ years in an operational leadership position
- Gets real joy and energy from instinctually evaluating ideas and situations, and quickly identifying the right course of action to take
- Quick and accurate assessments of people and situations
- Ability and desire to self manage and own areas of responsibility
- Detail oriented
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS, Dropbox, Basecamp
- A generally wonderful disposition J

**Wage**:From $38-48 per hour, with benefits, RRSP contributions, option for
performance offerings after 2 years.
**Schedule**:Full time, in office, in Victoria, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
