ANHBC is seeking an exceptional Communications & Administration Coordinator to join the

The Communications & Administration Coordinator supports a variety of ANHBC’s operations, projects, and events by providing administration services, leading marketing and communication activities and providing event management support.

This is a hybrid role based in our central Vancouver office in the vibrant and trendy Mount
Pleasant neighbourhood with a small but creative and collaborative team.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Communications**
- Manage and maintain ANHBC’s website, social media platforms, internal communication tools and trackers
- Develop engaging graphics, presentations, and other collateral for internal and external use including social media
- Develop written and multimedia content for internal staff communications, e.g. ANHBC staff newsletter, change management projects

**Meetings and Events**
Contribute to the planning of organization-wide and staff events, and programs with ANHBC partners and foundations:

- Coordinate event and meeting logistics (e.g. sourcing and booking spaces and vendors, catering, proactively communicating project status and identifying potential issues, obtaining supplies, organizing materials, ensuring adequate IT services)
- Provide administrative support (e.g. scheduling, taking meetings, providing IT support, communicating with participants before and after meetings)

**Administration**
- Provide administrative support to five boards: ANHBC, Alexandra Foundation, Alexandra
- Housing Society, ANHBC Foundation and ANHBC Arbutus Housing Centre Society
- Coordinate the Alexandra Foundation scholarships, including the Elmer Helm and Amy
- Hurn Funds
- Establish and maintain office services and procedures for staff and volunteers including: managing inventory and supplies, setting up work stations and spaces, orienting new hires to their space and technology, coordinating service providers
- Provide general administrative support to a range of programs and people (e.g. record keeping, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, providing information and referral services to the public and internal inquiries, scheduling)

**About You**:

- A commitment to collaboration, relationship building, and social justice
- Several years of communications and administrative coordination experience
- You can shift from big-picture to detail effortlessly and use your planning and organizational skills to achieve multiple objectives in a logical sequence
- You’ve proven you can move diverse audiences from awareness to action through your experiences developing digital and print communications, and implementing communications campaigns
- Hands-on graphic design and editing experience, you are skilled at creating on-brand and accurate multimedia assets (e.g. graphics, videos, presentations, documents)
- Strong propensity to action including a demonstrated ability to work with urgency and to take the initiative to make things better
- Fully fluent in English
- Able to lift, move, and take down objects up to 20 pounds
- Familiarity with the needs and operations of non-profit organizations is a strong asset
