The East Vancouver Taekwondo is seeking a skilled Community Development Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a vital part in supporting the integration of newcomers and refugees, as well as indigenous communities.

Job Description:
  • We are offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.

In this role, you will also provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement new administrative procedures and review existing ones to ensure they meet the needs of the organization.
  • Establish work priorities and ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Carry out administrative activities, such as data entry and report preparation.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, including accommodation, equipment, and supplies.

As a Community Development Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by supporting the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees.

Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
