We are looking for a Health & Safety / Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Stouffville, ON. The H&S / HR Administrator is responsible for providing timely and professional support to the Operations team. They will administer, and implement safety programs, and ensure company policy is communicated and followed as required. The Health & Safety / Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for recruitment, disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and for the Stouffville

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure the office facilities are in compliance with safety regulations, such as local fire codes, handicap access, and other laws.
Communicate the organization's safety policies in accordance with applicable federal safety standards and local laws.
Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of New Hire Orientation and various training programs to all employees and various levels within the organization as required.
Support recruitment efforts as needed, including phone screening, and interviews.
Manage accident / incident reporting ensure reports are accurate and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions as required.
Support WSIB claims management and Return to Work initiatives for injured workers.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation throughout employment history of all employees.
Provide guidance and instruction to employees on Human Resources and Health and Safety policies, programs, and systems.
Responsible for the maintenance of all Human Resources and Health and Safety bulletin boards and forms
Administer progressive disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures.
Handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
Participate in site and workplace inspections.
Coordinate and/or participate in social events as required.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Skills, Education & Experience

Post-secondary Diploma in Human Resources or similar
2+ Years of previous experience in a manufacturing setting would be considered an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous records maintenance skills.
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
Ability to conduct presentations.
Strong customer service
