We are currently hiring for the position of:
**VENUE LIAISON**

The Venue Liaison will work at a designated Festival venue, ensuring that film stakeholders, film guests, stage parties and Festival programmers enjoy a welcoming, professional, and safe experience at screenings and events. Reporting to the Manager, Venue Liaison, this position is accountable for communicating with film stakeholders and film guests prior to and during Festival to ensure all event production details are discussed, and ensuring a safe and timely film stakeholder experience from arrival to exit.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Shall include but not be limited to:

- Pre-Festival: liaise with film stakeholders to collect relevant information such as schedules, members of stage parties, talent movement, security details, seating, onsite contacts, camera call coordination, media inquiries- Confirm information with and communicate details to internal and onsite TIFF teams through reporting and meetings- During Festival: continue communicating with film stakeholders, responding to day-of changes- Welcome film stakeholders, film guests and TIFF programmers upon arrival to the Festival venue, leading them to and from various areas of the venue including: camera call area, fan zones, greenroom, stage, seat, exit of venue- Conduct venue tours for film stakeholders and teams upon request- Serve as the stand-by support for screening introductions and question and answer segments for all screenings at designated Festival venue- Provide post screening reports and detailed post mortem- Work closely with venue staff, security and volunteers to ensure relevant information is accurately conveyed while being mindful to update them of any information that changes throughout the event

**RATE OF PAY**:
- $25/hour

**WORK LOCATION**:
- Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5- Weekly in office requirements:
- Minimum 3 days (June to October)-
- Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience extracting detailed information from stakeholders or clients, and disseminating it to others in order to execute on the instructions- Experience with front of house venue operations, talent management, and hosting considered an asset- Experience in a planning or operations role in theatre, festival, or large scale event production considered an asset- Experience public speaking in front of large groups and interacting with audiences considered an asset- Experience in Microsoft Office, Google, and CRM programs- Understanding and commitment to superior client servicing- Ability to take control of situations with large groups of people while under pressure and condensed timelines- Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving skills- Effective and professional communicator and strong interpersonal skills- Demonstrated mature judgment with high level of diplomacy- Ability for discretion and handling confidential information- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
