The company was formed as part of restructuring of Wade Engineering Ltd. which provided consulting for roofing, building envelope and reserve fund studies for 40 years. Our company is seeking a mature full-time Office Assistant/Bookkeeper looking for long term employment.

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles with Diploma in

Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Equivalencies including experience, will be considered.
- Superior software skills with ability to use Windows 10, MS Office 365 (Word, Excel,

Outlook), database software (ACT), Quickbooks, Google Maps/Earth, etc.
- Aware of new software & techniques for creating office process efficiency.
- Payroll experience an asset.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Aptitude for simple business mathematics
- Aptitude for written expression and grammar skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction administration practices an asset.
- Solution oriented, self-directed, and ambitious.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities and able to prioritize work.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in bookeeping and possibly payroll.
- Experience with month end and year end working papers.
- Experience working in an engineering or construction office an asset.
- Must be able to be bondable as access is required to company information containing confidential and privileged content.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:
This role will mainly include full cycle bookkeeping, however, other administrative duties will also be required including occasional direct word processing support to the President and administrative support to roof inspectors.

We are seeking a person who is proficient in full cycle bookkeeping but also familiar with general office procedures and can complete tasks in a timely matter with mínimal direction. If you like to complete a variety of work and are willing to do tasks that keep you busy during the day (some challenging, some mundane) then this is the job for you.

Some duties are as follows:

- Full cycle bookkeeping.
- Invoicing and Accounts Receivable collections.
- Day to day accounting data entry.
- Preparation of bi-weekly or monthly flash reports.
- Monthly revenue projections.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 8 to 12 employees.
- Responsible for completing bank deposits.
- Provide administrative support to other team members when required.
- Other tasks as may be necessary (management of mail, etc.)

**WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER**:

- Wages: $50,000 to $55,000 annually (depending on experience). Anticipate pay increases for the first three years, to be in the order of magnitude of 5% to 10% per year depending on company growth, inflation, and employee performance.
- Office Hours - Monday to Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (1 hour for lunch, no formal coffee breaks). Hours can be offset to 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
