**Job Overview**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for overseeing national or major accounts.
- Evaluate the market and identify strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Create strategic plans to identify and pursue new business developments to support company growth
- Helps in the design of national sales, marketing programs and promotional materials for increasing profit.
- Negotiate large contracts and write requests for proposals (RFP's)
- Build strong working relationships with sales teams, leadership and corporate legal department
- Works with Corporate to ensure the National Account rebates are processed correctly and on a timely basis.
- Creates and maintains "dashboard" reporting for National Accounts
- Communicates sales programs/promotions to the sales groups and conducts sales blitzes.
- Works with the Sales Manager and/or Finance Director to collect accurate financial data to qualify prospects.
- Ability to make cold calls and presentations to prospective customers to generate new accounts.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Well-developed sales and presentation skills.
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively with customers and the general public.
- High energy level, accompanied by the ability to think creatively.
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficient understanding of accounting issues as well as a basic understanding of business finance.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate well, both written and oral, with the ability to sell intangible concepts.
- Well developed interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Bilingual, French and English an asset.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 4-6 years’ experience in sales field or related experience.
