**About Us**:
**Role**:
Reporting directly to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), as the Issues Manager you will provide support to the ADM in the development and implementation of issues management strategies. This also includes the coordination and management of complex issues, to ensure effective communication links are established and maintained between the ADM's office and the Deputy Minister's office.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

- Leading strategic initiatives, managing and implementing internal and external projects to improve the outcomes of the division
- Working closely with the Deputy Minister’s Office (DMO), Minister’s Office (MO) and other executive’s offices, divisions and departments on sensitive and emerging issues and divisional projects.
- Participating in departmental and interdepartmental groups and taskforces for the division or on behalf of the ADM.
- Communication management, including correspondence management is also a part of the Issues Manager’s role.
- Managing confidential and politically sensitive material and information.
- Supervising professional and administrative members of the ADM’s office, with an overall responsibility for all administrative staff in the division.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field, supplemented by at least four (4) years related experience. Preference will be given to those with experience working in Government operations. Experience in providing advice and recommendations to executive and senior management is also preferred.

- Previous or current experience working in an executive leader’s office
- Previous or current experience with briefing at the executive level
- Previous or current experience processing information requests
- Previous or current experience in managing confidential and sensitive material and information
- Previous or current experience presenting to teams and leadership

Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

**Salary**:
$3100.80 to $4172.77 bi-weekly ($80931 - $108909 per year)

**Notes**:
This is a permanent full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
