**Job Summary**:
The program coordinator will oversee various components of services to refugee claimants. Responsibilities include co-chairing a multi-agency partnership table addressing and coordinating services for claimants in the Fraser Valley, coordinating mental health and employment supports to claimants, and liaising with settlement teams and other partners providing services to Refugee Claimants.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s Program Coordinator with the Refugee Claimants Support Services Program contributes by:

- Organizing and co-chairing monthly regional meetings with the FV MAP and participating in the provincial MAP meetings as needed.
- Coordinating one-on-one counselling sessions with interpretation when needed for refugee claimants and refugees.
- Designing and implementing responsive programming for newcomers to Canada, including personalized employment supports for refugee claimants as well as support group sessions for refugees and refugee claimants.
- Working closely with partner agencies and staff at Archway to support refugee claimants and ensure all deliverables are met.
- Compiling data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensuring the budget is developed and monitored appropriately.

- Wage: $26 to $27 per hour.

**Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have**:

- Post-secondary degree in Social Services or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers' license with satisfactory driving record.
- Experience working with refugees and refugee claimants.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Experience working and collaborating with multiple partners.

**The Job Requires you to have**:

- Knowledge of issues and settlement challenges faced by refugees and refugee claimants.
- Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills, able to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and who have low/limited English levels.
- Excellent relationship building and networking skills; able to build rapport with clients, colleagues from other programs, and other organizations.
- Strong cross-cultural experience, sensitivity, and skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills, able to use Office 365 and databases.
- Experience using virtual meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Skills to switch tasks as interruptions can be frequent.
- Second language is an asset.
- Access to personal vehicle and willingness to drive for meetings and events throughout the Fraser Valley.
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is a condition of employment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
