The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC is an independent, non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Our mandate is to enhance and conserve BC’s freshwater fisheries for public benefit. Working in partnership with government, industry and anglers, our goal is to make fishing in BC even better through the enhancement and conservation of BC's freshwater fish resources.
We are seeking an innovative, energetic and progressive Outreach Coordinator to assist in the delivery of our Outreach Programs. This opportunity is regular full-time opportunity. Reporting to the Manager, Recreational Fishing Development, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and effective delivery of Society Outreach Programs delivered across the province, including the Learn to Fish and Rod Loan programs. This position works closely with key stakeholders and program partners to ensure the successful delivery of outreach programming. The Outreach Coordinator seeks out new opportunities for partnerships, manages existing partnerships and evaluates program progress and success. The position represents the Society at various public tradeshows and events, as well as through various media outlets.
