Sonography Canada is a national association dedicated to advancing the field of medical ultrasound. Our mission is to provide education, certification, and advocacy for diagnostic medical sonographers across the country, ensuring excellence in the profession.

**Position Overview**:
As the Membership & Communications Coordinator, you will be a key contributor to the association's success by ensuring a seamless and rewarding member experience. Reporting to the Manager, Membership, Marketing & Communications, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive strategies that go beyond member engagement, incorporating marketing, education, and communications.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Marketing and Communications**: Working with the Manager, Membership, Marketing & Communications, assist in the creation and curation of a variety of marketing and communication materials to engage our community and support various initiatives, including, but not limited to:

- Onboarding: Programming and delivery of the ongoing webinars and other information, as required.
- Member Renewals: Assisting with the execution of the marketing plan for membership renewal, between March-June annually.
- Certification: Liaise with the appropriate coordinators to ensure timely delivery of member certificates and other information, following each exam sitting
- Other marketing & communication efforts as assigned.

**Member Development**:

- Assist student members in their transition to full practitioner members.
- Introduce and implement member benefit programs, such as Professional Liability Insurance.
- Assemble and facilitate the deployment of new member and student onboarding programs and services.

**Collaborative Programming**: Work collaboratively across teams to program and deploy a diverse array of information on our website (public and members only) including the annual conference, Board elections and AGM, professional practice, continuing education activities, certification programs, member newsletter, and engagement initiatives like Sonography Week.

**Social Media and Digital Presence**:

- Maintain and track social media accounts, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the organization's social and digital presence.
- Support the Managers in maintaining sponsorship and industry partner relationships.

**Professional Development Support**: Liaise with the Education Coordinator to ensure effective and timely delivery of information relating to all CPD activities.

**Provide support** for Sonography Canada’s Job Board postings.

**General Inbox**: Triage the main general inbox for Sonography Canada, forwarding inquiries and requests as appropriate, and responding to all member inquiries related to membership in the organization..

**Additional Responsibilities**: Undertake other duties as assigned by the Manager.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in marketing, communications, and/or membership management.
- Superior English writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential. This includes in-depth knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spacing rules and standards.
- Ability to adapt writing style for a broad variety of audiences and media.
- Advanced research, analysis and fact-checking skills.
- Advanced formatting skills, using the MS-Suite of products
- Understanding of other systems (such as Canva, Content Management Systems, Private Online Communities, Zoom) is desirable.
- Social Media Management skills (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
- French language skills are a strong asset.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
