As a **Pipeline Protection Administration, Summer Student (Burnaby)** with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-paced group of Regulatory experts. The summer student will learn about the Trans Mountain Pipeline system, the potential impact third party damage can have on the environment and public safety, as well as useful tools applicable to other fields.

**This position is based in our Still Creek Terminal (Burnaby) and will report to the Supervisor, Pipeline Protection.**

**Duration: May 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Permit Technician and Administrative Assistant with filing using SharePoint ;
- Assist with various finance tasks such as BMO Coding, Accruals and Reconciling;
- Assist with creating, reviewing, and submitting Field Reports;
- Assist with scheduling within the Shared Calendar for Aerial Patrol Schedules, and make updates to the On-Call Schedule;
- Assist the Pipeline Protection team to focus on damage prevention and safety during the seasonal work volume increase by providing support with Unauthorized Activity Report and Field Reports Entry;
- Reconciling One Call Reports/Audits and Helicopter Reports;
- Management of Keep Training Records;
- Deliver, retrieve mail and documents from the Burnaby main office; and
- All other duties as requested by the Pipeline Protection Supervisor or Administrative Assistant.

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**:

- Interest or training in technology, trades, or administration;
- Common knowledge of Microsoft systems (Outlook/Word/Excel/Share Point/WebEx);
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude;
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with mínimal supervision;
- Attention to detail is critical;
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines;
- Strong organizational skills; and
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

**Other Requirements and Information**:

- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and return to full time studies in the Fall; and
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
