The position will work closely with the accounting department to support Pacific Mountain Regional Council and Camp Spirit accounts payable and receivable. Duties will include verifying and entering invoices in accounting system for payments ensuring correct coding, taxes, and approval, checking accuracy of reimbursement expenses (for employees, contractors and volunteers) before processing, and ensuring appropriate documentation (invoices and/or receipts) is provided, preparing weekly EFT/ACH payments, wire transfers and/or cheque runs, scanning and organizing invoices and other records according to status (vouched/ready to pay/paid), performing monthly credit card reconciliations, by recording entries and working with cardholders to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and proper documentation (invoices and/or receipts) of all charges incurred, responding to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor accounts, coding and entering payments received in accounting system weekly by recording cash, cheques, pre-authorized remittance (PAR), and credit card transactions (PayPal), and generating invoices, account statements, reports and donation tax receipts as required.
