GHY is seeking an ambitious Inside Business Development Representative to join our team. As a global customs and trade services group, we need your expertise to expand our clientele and build strong relationships with our clients. You will primarily be responsible for prospecting, securing business, and onboarding new clients.At GHY, you will have the opportunity to work independently and interact with all levels of the organization. You must have a strong understanding of freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain, as well as be knowledgeable about the ever-evolving import and export processes. Additionally, you will have the chance to attend association events and trade shows, representing GHY and expanding your network. Join our team and take the next step in your sales career

**Responsibilities**:

- Win, retain and develop opportunities through sales "hunting" activities such as cold calls, internal referrals, leads, and recommendations from present clients.
- Conduct daily meetings with potential clients to share service offerings and gain information for business proposals.
- Maximize growth opportunities from existing relationships.
- Using CRM software to track and report sales progress, set up accounts and update information.
- Support in creation of formal sales presentations for potential clients
- Development and maintenance of sales prospective reports
- Gather and relay necessary client information to all relevant departments
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills**:

- Advanced verbal and written communication.
- Cold-calling and networking.
- Knowledge of brokerage/logistics industry.
- Data analysis and research.
- Familiarity with utilizing CRM systems.
- Ability to work in a self-directed fashion making optimal use of time.
- Ability to work well in a small, dynamic and highly motivated team.
- Ability to develop knowledge in different content areas.
- Tact and diplomacy to deal with external contacts.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Education
- Sales/Marketing Degree preferred
- CCS, CIFFA, and/or CITT designation preferred

Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of actives sales of customs and logistics services

Working Conditions
- Work with mínimal supervision.
- Occasional travel (including internationally)
- Occasional extension of work hours to meet work demands and frequent flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends during peak periods
- Sitting at a desk 75%
