You are the primary management representative of the billing function of Global Relay and work with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders such as customers, channel partners, and consultants. The Manager, Revenue and Receivables oversees a dynamic billing environment that is constantly evolving to reflect Global Relay's growth and its customers' growing needs. You are a proven people leader who can motivate and inspire a team to develop their soft and technical skills.

- Drive culture of excellence in customer service in all of the billing function's interactions internal and external to Global Relay.
- Manage case queue of external and internal queries to ensure cases are appropriately addressed in a timely manner, adhering to KPI expectations for case turn-around.
- Oversee the billing team's interactions within Finance & Accounting to ensure accurate and comprehensive information to facilitate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statement preparation, including journal entry review and bad debt provision preparation and review.
- Oversee collections and dunning processes, reviewing collections targets and escalating collections matters when necessary.
- Supervise, mentor, coach and provide advice and expertise to billing and accounts receivable staff.
- Oversee and assist with the periodic and ad hoc generation of reports and information for third-party suppliers, channel partners, and enterprise customers.
- Identify opportunity for new or improved collaboration of the billing function with cross-functional teams and external business partners.
- Prepare sales metrics and related reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Billing Transformation to identify, design, test, and execute on process and system improvements to Global Relay's billing function.
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure that billing tasks are completed with efficiency and accuracy.
**About You**
- Strong understanding of full cycle billing including AR, collections and billings coupled with strong process improvement experience (identification and implementation of process changes).
- 5+ years in a related role working in complex billing automated environments, with a deep understanding of data flow and information systems.
- Experience in SaaS subscription billing environments is an asset.
- Experience managing a team, particularly in a leadership role overseeing individuals with their own direct reports.
- Familiarity with billing-related accounting concepts such as: revenue recognition, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and bad debt provisions.
