**IT Support Specialist**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Conpute is one of the leading Managed Service and Cloud Provider in the Durham region, and we are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our awesome Managed Services support team. We provide onsite and remote support to our customers spread across the GTA, as well as custom Cloud hosted solutions. Our team is close-knit and works together to resolve issues in a collaborative manner and our team culture is based on trust. You will get hands on experience with a wide range of technologies and a challenging, innovative and interesting learning environment, pushing you to reach your full potential.
**SKILLS**:
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on customer service
- Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and Internet troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory support and administration
- Virtualization technologies (VMware ESX/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019
- Working knowledge of VOIP based phone systems
- Experience with IT support ticketing systems and a good understanding of ITIL standards
- Able to explain and relate highly technical information in easy to understand language with end users
- Strong time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with our customers to resolve technical issues and provide an awesome customer support experience
- Work with vendor support on behalf of our clients to ensure their support issues are resolved
- To be pro-active in suggesting and proposing new technologies to support the businesses
- Travel to customer sites on occasion to deploy new equipment and participate in projects
- Recognizing and escalating more difficult problems to Tier 2 support
- Use, update and contribute content to our internal knowledge base
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and after hours activities and project work as required
**EXPERIENCE**:
- 1-3 years of Helpdesk support experience is preferable
- New graduates are also welcome
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the IT
- MCSA, VCP or CCNA is preferred. If not achieved working towards obtaining industry certification within 6 months of start date.
