Responsibilities:
The Central Avenue Youth Transitional Housing Supervisor works closely with the manager to oversee day to day programming. They support staff with implementation of programming, procedures and staff roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Have excellent people skills and work well in crises;
- Must be flexible, reliable and willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities;
- Must be able to lift heavy items/perform heavy cleaning;
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture with a mindset that is accepting to reconciliation.
- Driver’s license; Vehicle;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
- Must pass Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Ability to work independently and follow policies and procedure;
- Excellent time management skills.

Remuneration: $58,262 annually

**Duties**:

- Assistance with the day-to-day operation of the transitional house, on call rotation as required;
- Provide leadership and direction to staff members, in all areas, including confidentiality, positive work environment, and conflict resolution;
- Ensure that the Youth are participating in all programming requirements;
- Training of new 24 hr Youth Support Staff; ensure staff members are properly trained and competent in delivering services;
- Work as a team with all other YWCA staff to ensure the best possible service for our clientele;
- Statistical tracking and reporting;
- Oversights of medication management for the Youth;
- Liaise with the Ministry of Social Services regarding the Youth;
- Oversee facilitation of client activities with the other staff (within budget);
- Administrative duties as required (photocopying, prepping files, filing, etc);
- Create and implement a weekly schedule to ensure all Youth have a primary worker and their needs are being met;
- Occupational Health and Safety Duties (hold/ co-chair committee meetings);
- Assistance with scheduling, scheduling changes, Payworks &HIFIS;
- Develop and maintain accurate tracking records, training of Youth Support staff in regards to how to properly document their interactions with the Youth;
- Liaison with Manager of any significant information, client/staff updates etc;
- Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours. Contact the Manager and CEO in the event of a major crisis;
- Assist in delegating day to day duties and responsibilities for staff members;
- Prioritize work, attending to the most urgent needs of the clientele first;
- Attend and represent Central Avenue in meetings;
- Ensure critical incidents are properly documented and reported to manager;
- Provide one on one crisis management with the clients and maintain confidentiality;
- Networking with various organizations that work with YWCA clients, attend

and represent Central Avenue at meetings;
- Work closely with the YO youth to ensure that they are following their conditions, report any and all infractions to the appropriate persons.
- Ensure Youth rooms and areas are kept clean and if needed develop a cleaning schedule;
- Provide support and guidance to the Outreach Worker and Program Coordinator;
- Work closely with the Central Ave Residential Services Supervisor to ensure that the day to day operations are met;
- Assume responsibilities of Manager in their absence;
- Camera Surveillances as required;
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management, to ensure the effective operation of Central Avenue;
**Probation**:All YWCA positions contain a three month probation period.

**Salary**: $58,262.00 per year
