**Coordinator, International Operations**

Under the Direction of the Manager, International Admissions, the incumbent coordinates the operations of International Admissions activities. These activities include supporting all full time and part time staff (including orienting new staff to the department and supporting on-boarding), identifying system enhancements while supporting testing and implementation, collaborating with internal/external partners to support departmental activities (including applicant and agent communications) and payment processing.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Coordination of International Admissions Staff and Activity**
- ** **Coordinates operations within International Admissions. Assists Manager in setting or scheduling priorities, re-allocates work due to sick time, and ensures appropriate orientation/training/onboarding for new staff and acts as the first point of escalation for non-standard issues with student recruitment or start up.
- Schedules shifts for support staff, arranges appropriate coverage if someone is sick/away, identifies peak periods and recommends adjustment to scheduling.
- Creates and renews contracts for new part-time employees.
- Provides regular reports as requested around operations, including appropriate metrics, observations and recommendations for improvements.
- Maintains procedures to ensure processes and records meet Mohawk’s policies and procedures from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and Immigration.
- Ensures efficiency and high quality of the front line operations with respect to staff training, coaching, scheduling and day to day operations.
- Provides a high level of customer service through example and guiding staff and developing procedures to meet this goal.
- Coordinates involvement with international events, workshops, etc.
- Provides support to the department under the direction of the Manager in daily support of various activities including monitoring departmental accounts, agent reporting and IRCC liaison.
- Acts as a contact/support for escalated international applicant inquiries and provides interpretation and information on policies as well as promoting the college’s programs.
- Updating staff, Accounts Receivable and all other related departments on all financial transactions, trending/forecasting volume and statistical data relating to applicants as necessary.
- Interprets guidelines, analyzes information and implements services by training International staff or liaising with departments, administrators, faculty and other staff. With the recruitment team, advocates on behalf of external partners and students.
- Acts as a liaison between the International Partnership (IP) and other College departments to effectively assist the applicants with any problems until their arrival at the College.

**Applicant Processing**
- Running reports from Banner to access the applicants who have applied directly to OCAS, following up to obtain appropriate transcripts, and processing their program information.
- Providing orientation and/or training.
- Creating Offers of Admission for post-secondary and ESL programs.
- Processing the applicant’s confirmation of acceptance.
- Admitting applicants to the confirmed program of choice through Banner and generating correspondence to the new student.
- Confirming, authorizing, registering, transferring, wait listing and/or withdrawing applicants for post-secondary programs.

**Ensure Staff Remain Current on Standards**
- ** **Ensuring staff have access to the most up to date foreign credential evaluation tools to determine if applicants meet the College published academic admission requirements.
- Confirming attendance requirements for the applicants in Canada.
- Advising team members on pathway program choices and/or preparatory courses that are required to gain entry into the applicant’s program of choice.
- Managing wait lists for international seats, to determine the next qualified applicant to be considered when space is available.
